Terms of use

These terms govern the use of this space and of the CiaoSchool platform. By using the site you accept them.

The service

CiaoSchool offers teachers and schools online teaching tools: classes with a board, video lessons, games, quizzes, matching exercises, surveys, flashcards, whiteboard, documents, spreadsheets and epub. Students use them without an account through a link or a QR code.

Account and user responsibility

Whoever creates the space is responsible for their account, their password and the content they publish: they must have the rights to use it and must not publish illegal or offensive material or material that infringes others' rights. The space must not be used to collect students' personal data (for example by writing it on the whiteboard). When the tools are used with minors, the user is responsible for informing families in line with their school's rules.

Free service and files

The service is free. CiaoSchool does not host teachers' files (PDFs, audio, documents and the like): they are linked through the services the teacher chooses, for example Google Drive. Images inserted in content are resized; images and content together have a total limit of 50 MB per space.

Content and licence

The content remains the property of the user who creates it. The user grants CiaoSchool only the licence needed to host it and show it as the service requires.

Fair use and suspension

Abusing the service is not allowed (attacks, spam, uploading viruses, unlawful uses). Spaces that violate these terms may be suspended or closed.

Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability: keep a copy of your materials. To the extent permitted by law, CiaoSchool is not liable for indirect damages or loss of content.

Closing and changes

The user can ask at any time for their space and content to be deleted by writing to the email shown below; data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy. These terms may be updated: the version published on this page applies.
